![]() ![]() So they most certainly didn't tell the actress "act like it's a videogame". Maybe in Super Mario or something, but definitely not horror games. Especially not in horror games that live or burn on immersion. Nobody EVER acts in a video game to emphasize that it's a video game. You know, how real people behave in real life? I mean, could it be that they were acting differently because the sitaution for the character was different? The reason being they wanted to portray stress and high stakes as opposed to nothing happening when she was emailing Delacroix about the AI? With people voice acting in it, yeah? So if someone is acting differently there's a reason behind it. ![]() However, this is a computer game, a computer game that's smarter than most, but still just a game. ![]() A year ago, opening this thread would have sapped a big bit of enjoyment out of the story for me.Цитата допису Jack left town:Personality shift can certainly be explained due to stress. But it's an old game no one's heard of that's still worth playing through at least once. You can't really get mad over it, cause you're right, it's an old game. This thread drops an experience ruining moment with no warning, and as a joke. This forum is the prime place for people to come through if they're interested in either game. It's not like a game everyone's heard of, like Doom (hint: the end of the game involves shooting stuff), it's an oddity. Spoiling one of the games big reveals in one of those discussions redcues their potential enjoyment a fair bit. SS2 is esoteric in a big way, people only even learn about it to pick it up through discussions about it. I'd never even HEARD of the game until a year ago, and since then I've recomended it to three people who I thought would appreciate it.īioshock, being the 'successor' to system shock 2, is going to pique a lot of gamers interest in that classic title. It's an 'oddball' game that oddball players pass on through word of mouth. Even before shodan showed her face or any voices came around, just opening the door to her office, and seeing a corpse sitting at a desk. When I walked into politos office, it was probably the most intense feeling of dread and overwhelming hopelessness I've ever felt in a game. I had absolutely no idea who shodan was or what she was capable of. I can't see him ever relying on one person to win against those sort of odds unless he had no choice, even if he had complete control over them. I'd say it's pretty obvious he had lost the war, so far as we can tell his allies were in control of nowhere except perhaps Apollo Square (though one of the 'Rapture report' announcements makes even that seem unlikely) while Ryan and his allies had considerable ground, Hephaestus, Fort Frolic, perhaps Medical- though it's unclear if Steinman gave anyone loyalty- and a fair chunk of Neptune's Bounty solidly under their control. My theory is that he actually did want to leave at that time, and you were simply meant to rescue him. When the sub blows two new bodies can be found, though they just have the generic 'corpse' label. When you're supposed to free Atlas's family in the submarine, what was going on there? Who was actually in the sub? Who was the guy who came running out you could see through the window? Yes, I know the spoiler but I never figured out that part and how it fit in.The guy was Atlas, or at least he waves at you as the radio Atlas says 'Hi up there', and uses the same model as the unspliced 'Atlas'. ![]()
